A combination of ambient, IDM, glitch, and classical; Kristin Anderson (aka 4/56), draws heavily from her background as a composer to create an electronic sound with depth and emotion. In fact, Kristin spent much of her early years training as a classical violinist, later progressing to the world of academic composition.

The natural evolution from orchestral writing to both musique-concrete and real-time interactive computer music was not far behind; and the echos of such influences as Stockhausen, John Cage, George Crumb, and Bartok, continue to make an appearance in her music today.

Incorporating heavily processed synthesizers, vocal snippets, electro-acoustic elements, with a passion for compositional structure, the experimental, yet contrapuntal nature of 4/56 is a fresh alternative in the electronic landscape.
